Our Story
Once upon a time, a generous woman named Betty Anne hired her granddaughter to wrap Christmas gifts for the family. The cherished tradition continued until the granddaughter — our founder Melinda — left for college…though she kept her hands in the ribbons and wrappings during summers home, working at an independent gifts + interior decor shop.
Years later, a career in marketing and brand management fostered Melinda’s passion for excellence in visual design — while also exposing her to the disappointing lack of excellence in the stale, uninspired corporate gift options available at the time.
Fast forward to 2014: Bitten by the entrepreneurialism bug, Melinda revived her gift wrapping side hustle for friends and family. Within a year, the side gig blossomed into a full-time opportunity to curate meaningful gifts for others, and Memento & Muse was born.
We brought on our first production team in the fall of 2018, and never looked back!
